Another day

another morning, again.

Repetitive (is)

this how we really live ?

 

I’m suffocating

Under the burden of

sighing and hurting

But I don’t want to live my life

just waiting for another day to pass

 

I just want to look outside and be filled with celebration

Another day - it’s another way to spread joy and motivation

I don’t want to live my life in a cycle of hesitation

I’ll choose to open up my eyes to opportunities I’ve been given

 

In the evening when the

stresses of life come flooding in

It seems that hope has drowned

no sign of solid ground

just crashing waves and howling wind..

 

“But why do you have to worry?

Why’re you in such a hurry?”

Asks the voice that calms the sea

“you won’t sink,” it says to me

 

So now I choose to look outside and be filled with celebration

Another day - it’s another way to spread joy and motivation

I don’t want to live my life in a cycle of hesitation

I’ll open up my eyes to see the opportunities I’ve been given

 

I’ll fight for joy in the morning

Instead of just yawning

Open my eyes

and realise

there is hope.

 

I’ll be thanking the one who

who puts breath in my lungs

gives me another day.
